What's so special about it?

The project main objective is to teach a person a foreign language with the learner's native language minimal use by creating audiovisual images that convey the language constructions lexical meanings. We want the learner to think in Spanish!

  • Turn off the native language in your brain when you learn a foreign language.
  • Learn a foreign language like a baby!
  • Think in a foreign language!

The Ligerto addresses several problems commonly faced by a foreign language learners, such as difficulty in learning and retaining new words and phrases, the language structures complexity, the translation barrier, and motivation and engagement lack.

Research has shown that visual learning can be an effective way to overcome these issues, and Ligerto utilizes visual aids such as animations and images to help learners clarify complex language structures, bypass the translation process, and stay motivated and engaged in the learning process.

Technology

Technology plays a central role in the Ligerto platform design and functionality. The platform includes both a mobile app for Android and iOS devices, as well as a website that is accessible on any device with a web browser.

2D Animation

Using 2D animation to create the phrase being studied a visual image. Recreating visual images describing an action or entity immediately in a foreign language, without resorting to translation.

Gamification

In the language learning context, gamification can be an effective way to make the learning process more fun and engaging, particularly for learners who may find language learning traditional methods to be tedious or uninteresting.

AI and Big Data

In the Ligerto app, AI will be used to enhance the learning experience for users by collecting and analyzing data on their learning progress and generating cards unique sequences based on their individual needs.

GPT-3

The Ligerto can use GPT-3 and OpenAI developer APIs to simulate dialog with a native speaker, GPT-3 can generate responses in the target language. GPT-3 can be trained on native speaker dialogues a large dataset in the target language, in order to produce more natural and realistic responses.

Platform Capabilities

Audiovisual learning technology through computer animation can be applied in EdTech many areas and be used to teach Spanish and other national languages, such as Catalan, Valencian, Galician, and Basque to specific groups and professionals (waiters, electricians, carpenters, etc.), by providing them with an individual programme and only the phrases and sentences a set they will need to perform their job.

The platform can also be used to train people in any other craft where it is important to show visually what to do: carrying out any complex work, assembling structures, etc.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • There are many language-learning platforms on the market. The main problem with all existing platforms is the direct link to a translator during the learning process. In the way habits are formed that hinder future fluency in the foreign language. With 2D animation, we want to solve this problem.

  • We have 15 years' experience in creating animated video content and know how to make people's attention grabbing animations. In addition, numerous studies by scientists prove how much audio-visual learning techniques (which include computer animation) can increase the learning foreign languages and memorizing new words and language constructions effectiveness.

  • We are all different people and absorb the same information in different ways. Artificial Intelligence will gather information about how each individual user learns the material and will suggest repeatedly the material that the user learns the worst. In this way, we have a personal teacher who accompanies us through the entire learning process.

  • The Ligerto's learning methodology is based on the idea that visualization and visual interaction can be an effective way to learn and remember new words and phrases, particularly in a foreign language. This approach is supported by research in the cognitive psychology field, which has shown that the brain is particularly good at processing and remembering visual information. When we see an image or animation, our brains create that image a mental representation, which we can then use to recall the corresponding word or phrase. This can be particularly effective for learning a foreign language because it allows us to bypass the translating words and phrases process from our native language, which can be a barrier to learning and impede fluency.

Research has shown that the audio-visual aids use can significantly improve vocabulary and listening comprehension in second language learners (Romano Snyder, 1988). Additionally, the audio-visual material use, such as TV series and films, can provide a meaningful context for language input, cultivate language skills and communicative competence, and maintain learner interest (The Visual Media Implication in Foreign Language Teaching and Learning: Take Chinese as an Example). Our approach another aspect is the visualization use to facilitate learning. Research has shown that visualization can improve the learning process effectiveness by making it easier to remember material and increasing cognitive activity in learners (The visualization role in learning a foreign language, Revina, 2019). Our platform incorporates visual aids a range, including images, videos, and interactive exercises, to support language learning and retention.

One way that the Ligerto uses visualization and visual interaction in its learning methodology is through the 2D animations and corresponding sentences use that can be adjusted by clicking on any word. For example, if a learner is presented with a dog and the sentence "El perro corre en el parque," an animation they might click on the word "perro" to see a dog an image and hear the word spoken aloud. This can help learners to create the word and its meaning a mental image, rather than relying on translation.

In addition, the Ligerto uses images a series that demonstrate a word or phrase meaning. For example, if a learner clicks on the word "perro" in the sentence above, they might see images a series showing a dog playing fetch, a dog barking, and a dog wagging its tail. These images can help to consolidate the learning material and improve retention, as they provide the word in different contexts multiple examples.

  • The Ligerto platform practical applications extend beyond language learning to include employee training and integration in a new language environment. Companies can use the platform as a tool for employee training and development by providing job-specific language learning content. This can help to improve the employees skills and communication abilities, leading to improved productivity and success.

The Ligerto can also be used to prepare employees for job interviews in a new language environment. The platform's personalized learning experiences and focus on building fluency can help employees build confidence and communicate more effectively during the interview process.

In addition, the platform can be used as a resource to help employees integrate into a new language environment more smoothly. By providing a convenient and effective way to learn and practice the language, Ligerto can help employees build confidence and communicate more effectively with colleagues and customers. This can be particularly beneficial for businesses that rely on a diverse workforce and need to facilitate communication and understanding between different cultural groups. The platform practical applications as a tool for employee training and integration can have a significant impact on the businesses operating success in a foreign language environment.

  • The OpenAI is a leading artificial intelligence research company that has developed several cutting-edge AI technologies. In 2020, the OpenAI announced GPT-3, a language model containing 175 billion parameters, which uses deep learning to produce human-like text. The OpenAI's GPT-3 has already been adopted by customers a wide range, including over 300 applications that use the model and developers thousands tens building on the company's platform. These customers span various industries and use cases, such as the Viable using GPT-3 to analyze customer feedback and generate insights for clients, the Duolingo using the GPT-3 for French grammar corrections, and the Copy.ai, a copywriting tool powered by the GPT-3.

In the future, the Ligerto can use the GPT-3 and the OpenAI developer APIs to simulate dialog with a native speaker. By inputting prompts, the GPT-3 can generate responses in the target language. The GPT-3 can be trained on native speaker dialogues a large dataset in the target language, in order to produce more natural and realistic responses. The Ligerto can then use this simulated dialog to create language learning exercises or as a conversational language learning experience part for users. Additionally, the GPT-3 could potentially be used to generate personalized feedback and corrections for users based on their own language production through the OpenAI developer APIs use.
